- After Swanton HS, I attended the University of Toledo until Aug 68 when I joined the Air Force. I left the Air Force in Aug 72 after 3-1/2 years at RAF Bentwaters, England and went to work, in Oct 72, for the Michigan Air National Guard at Selfridge ANGB, MI, just north of Detroit. I married my wife Carolyn in 1976 and we raised 3 daughters in the ensuing years. We both retired in 2002 and live about 20 miles north of Detroit, between Mt. Clemens and New Baltimore, Mi. In 2010 we bought a house in Green Cove Springs, Florida and now spend winters there.

Sona Jean Eppenstein
Kathy (Black) Menough sent me the sad news that Sona Eppenstein passed away on Feb 5, 2011. I'm sure you remember her if you took Latin. I've always considered her to be one of my closest friends. She was a great friend & teacher. I'm sure she will be dearly missed by many who knew her.

But...don't think that will ever happen. Saw some great boats in Harbor Springs that held over to do the Charlevoix/Chicago race...Firefox???? Were they ever decked out with equipment...radar screens all over the boat. Incredible sailing! Keep sailing and keep me posted on your adventures.
All is well in Dublin...Buckeyes off to a great start. My son landed a huge job 2 months into his free lance career..he's currently on a shoot that is taking him AROUND THE WORLD...he currently in Tokyo having been in London and Paris. I'm so proud! Later, jan

Thanks! Originally I had planned to write the code for this site and host it myself. Even using off-the-shelf modules, it would have taken months to finish. Thank my daughter, Allison, for suggesting NING and for all of her help and advice.
I think I'm pretty much finished. Only a couple of small details remain that I may or may not get around to. Some tough spots were eliminating inaccessible features such as the "Invite" tab and "This Network Created By" box and adding the semitransparent tabs in the navigation bar.
I do web design as a paying hobby and consider it an insult if family and friends offer to pay when I do a site for them; however, I have been known to accept a bottle of almost any single malt! The two hobbies sort of support each other!
