I joined the US Air Force in 1966 after graduation. I spent four years as an aircraft mechanic and was ultimately stationed is Alaska. I left the military in March of 1970 and Alice and I decided to make Alaska our home. I worked in the construction trade until 1981when I began a career in law enforcement as an Alaska State Trooper. I retired in 2006 as a Sergeant/Major Crimes Investigator after 25 of years of service. I recently spent nine months as the Chief of Police for the City of Nome, Alaska retiring again in October.

Dallas A. Massie 42, Daniel N. Massie 39, Douglas A. Massie 33, Darrell L. Massie 31, & Jennifer E. Hunter 27.
Grandchildren
13 granchildren between the ages of 14 and 1 years of age. Seven boys and six girls.
Hobbies
Grand Kids, Ice Hockey, fishing, old tractors, politics, Alaskan history, rural Alaska.
I'm involved with the local American Legion Post; I serve on the board of directors for the local Child Advocacy Center and the local Crime Stoppers program.
