Published in The Tecumseh Herald 05/13/2009Susan D. Wielinski-Michels, 62, of Tecumseh, passed away May 8, 2009. Susan was born March 7, 1947, in Lucas County, Ohio, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Champion. In October of 2000, she married Owen (Skip) Michels in Swanton, Ohio, and he survives. Susan was a graduate of Northwest State College, Archbold, Ohio and did so while raising two children. She was employed at Midway Products, Monroe, Mich. as a Supplier Quality Engineer for the last ten years. Susan was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh. Besides her husband, Skip, she is survived by her son, Trevor Wielinski; grandchildren, Karleigh and Miranda McClay; son in law, David McClay; sister, Peggy (Larry) Steusloff, and her adopted daughter, Liza (Randy) Gerken. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Traci, and sister, Lori. A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh with the Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Burial followed in Brookside Cemetery.
